Professional Qualifications
Bio
David has lived in Hong Kong since 1993 and
started
playing golf in the year 2000. Within only a few
years he
had become a single digit handicap though dedicated practice, some
skill, and
keeping a few PGA pros employed on a regular basis with lessons.
After a run of a few successful start-ups in
Hong Kong
he started his own golf distribution company in 2006 to be able to be
involved
in a sport industry that he had a passion for.
His previous experience in operations,
management,
retail, marketing and distribution with the numerous start-ups prior to
his own
business has proven critical for the developing and challenging golf
industry in
Asia, especially China where he is developing his future opportunities.
Hong
Kong remains the home base however.
Through his passion for golf he has really
taken to
putting as part of his 'specialty'. Besides distributing putter brands
and
training aids, he has been involved as a student of putting from the
very
beginning of his love of golf by reading and learning as much as he can
on the art and science of putting, which has lead him to working closely
with The Harold Swash Putting Schools.
Personal message
Besides my business experience I have found a
passion
and deep reward from teaching putting. Putter fitting and coaching is
the most
important aspect in lowering your scores and can be accomplished with
eager
students willing to learn and dedicate to learning some key
fundamentals.
I believe in educating my students so they
know what is
being done and why. So when questions are asked they are informed and
answers
can be given that are productive and make sense.
As the Managing Director of HSPSE - Asia I am
involved
in all aspects of developing the business but teaching is a core part
of my involvement. It's only through doing can you obtain knowledge and
results. And I enjoy it.
If you're looking to make a difference in your
scores,
contact me and I'll get you on the right track.
