Three PGA Golf Professionals to become the first Level 2 Putting Coaches
Monday, 03 March 2008

HSPSE are please to announce the successful completion of its first level 2 Accredited Instructors programme.

A year after completing level one Bart van der Wind (Holland), Bart Bollen (Belgium) and Christian Schonfeldt (Denmark), attended the 2nd tier of the coaching programme to further educate themselves along their journey as specialist putting instructors.

The level 2 programme builds upon the introduction of the Swash philosophy that is offered at level one.

On day one of the 2 day course, Director of Instruction Phillip Kenyon presented further insights into the Swash philosophy and also a detailed view of the common faults and their fixes as well as a series of example case studies to allow the coaches a more in-depth understanding of the philosophy in practice.

Day 2 saw the coaches assessed in practice as they delivered a series of lessons to students.

Overall the coaches enjoyed the 2 days and all passed on positive feedback into how it has helped them become better equipped to help improve their own students putting.

"As a PGA professional for 25 years and a former player on the challenge tour, I always find it interesting to listen to the best coaches in golf and hear what they have to say. As well as maybe shaving a couple of shots off my own scores, I use several of Harolds ideas incorperated in what I would call 'my teaching package'. I guess i'll have to settle for being second best putter but I'll keep working at it!!"
