Our Level 2 Accredited
Instructor Bart van der Wind belongs to the very small percentage of PGA Golf
Teaching Professionals which has the chance to work with the best european
female golfers from the Ladies European PGA Tour. One lucky chap, isn't he? Here is his report from this weeks Vediorbis Open de France in Arras. This week was the last tournament with a full field of players. Next week it's the last tournament in Madrid for the top 40 after which they go to Asia and Dubai. It was again a useful week for me, most of the players know me now and their trust in me is growing. During the last few weeks players are coming to me more frequently and asking me about their set-up and other technical questions. This is good for Yes, and me, especially when they come back with an email and SMS that their putting is being better. This week I did some work with Katharina Schallenberg, putting her left hand more in her life line and checking the set-up which is now much better. With Ellen Smets we checked her set-up too and worked on her ball position which improved her ball roll dramatically. Elisabeth McKinnon had some problems with her alignment so we tested a Sandy, she had already played a Tracy II for years. With a few slight changes on her set-up, she started to improve lining up. I worked with Anna B Sanchez on a better set-up and then fitted her with the right putter that would improve her game in several aspects. She took a Callie with the weighted shaft which is also a huge success on the Men's Tour. It will be in play this week. Bronwyn Mullis-Lane wanted to go for a long putter so we tested her on different lengths and she played the pro-am with a Nathalie long. Emma Cabrera Bello’s Gina was damaged in transport and showed a lie of 68 degrees and 6 degrees loft, I bent it back and gave her a new one. Both have an IomIc grip on. Elisabeth Esterl took a Callie f and will play with it this week. She was playing a Profound before. Laurette Maritz had some problems with her Hanna so we changed it for a Nathalie with a little back weight. Bettina Hauert and Amanda Moltke-Leth are now playing with a Callie. Cicilia Ekelund changed her long Nathalie for a long Victoria II after playing the Pro-Am with it. Maria Verchenova from Russia tested a Tracy II and loves it so that will be in play also. That was it for this week, I will be at the Golf Show in Munich next week.
Kind regards,
Bart van der Wind
