Lee Slattery finishes second at Dunhill Championships in South Africa
Monday, 17 December 2007
Congratulations to Lee Slattery who continued his recent run of good form when he finished in 2nd place recently at the Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek GC.

Mpumalanga, South Africa 6th-9th Dec 2007

Slattery overcame the disappointment of missing his tour card by the small margin of 77 euro at the end of the 2007 season to bounce back at the tour school in November to gain his privileges for the 2008 season.

The week prior to tour school Lee attended HSPSE to undertake a programme of improvement on his putting technique with Phil Kenyon after a disappointing 2007 season on the greens.

Taking his tour school form to South Africa Lee found himself paired in the last round with 2 time major winner Ernie Els. Performing with credibility he eventually finished tied 2nd with Ernie at 12 under par, 2 behind winner John Bickerton.

Keep up the good work Lee!

"As a PGA professional for 25 years and a former player on the challenge tour, I always find it interesting to listen to the best coaches in golf and hear what they have to say. As well as maybe shaving a couple of shots off my own scores, I use several of Harolds ideas incorperated in what I would call 'my teaching package'. I guess i'll have to settle for being second best putter but I'll keep working at it!!"
